High purity nitrogen has been used as a tire inflation medium in critical applications, where safety, precision and peak performance are critical, for decades. Nitrogen inflation is required by Formula One, Nascar and at most elite racing venues. It is also mandated for use by the FAA in all jet aircraft tires.
